Deep Drawing IDDRG2022 Conference LORIENT FRANCE

Conference programme > Technical tours

Technical tours are a tradtional IDDRG event and three possibilities are waiting for you in June :

  • Airbus Atlantic - Saint-Nazaire

The Airbus Atlantic site in Montoir-de-Bretagne (close to Saint-Nazaire) is one of the 16 production sites of the new Airbus Atlantic entity created in January 2022 and grouping the former Stelia Aerospace and Airbus sites in Nantes and Montoir-de-Bretagne. The Montoir-de-Bretagne site, which is qualified as a fuselage integrator, assembles and equips the front and center fuselages of all Airbus aircrafts except the A220.

The site then delivers the aircraft sections to all Airbus final assembly lines in Toulouse, Hamburg (Germany), Tianjin (China) and Mobile (USA) by air transport with the Beluga or by sea.

Chantiers de l'Atlantique is one of the largest, oldest and most innovative shipyards in the world. Everything here is gigantic: the construction dock and the pre-assembly area are more than 900 meters long; the very large gantry crane, the "TGP" as Nazairiens call it, can lift up to 1,400 tons, that is to say blocks as big as buildings... and you may have the chance to see it in action.

Axon’ Mechatronics specialises in stamping, plastics engineering and assembly.

The visits will take place on Friday 10 June, 2022, in the morning. For the 2 visits in Saint-Nazaire, the bus, departing from Lorient in the morning, will take the attendees to the sites, then, after the visits, will stop at Nantes airport (2 pm at the latest) and then drive back to Lorient.

Attendees interested by one of the visit should register specifically, by sending an email to the organisers, at iddrg2022@sciencesconf.org before 30 April 2022.
